Of all the resorts that Free Spirit are active in, Meribel has probably the most diverse and contrasting property market. As a linear resort in height, prices vary remarkably from one area to another, and proximity to Piste, or a gated domain location, can sometimes double prices. Good advice from your Free Spirit Agent is essential. Prices range from 7,000 Euros per sqm for an older style apartment in for example Mottaret, to over 20,000 Euros per sqm for a new build apartment in a piste side location.
Increasingly older hotels are being bought and converted, and these can be excellent buys. Our tip however is the quiet Mussillon quarter of Meribel, open and with stunning views, most of the Chalets are within walking distance of a ski bus stop and the resort centre. Prices are lower than other quarters, with a typical Chalet being priced at around the 11,000 Euros per sqm mark.
